A boy kicks a football in southern Athens with the Acropolis, the Hill of Philo appus and Lycabettus in the background Greeks are gearing up to watch the World Cup soccer finals, which start in South Korea on Friday. The national squad only once made it to the tournament, in 1994, when it let in 10 goals and scored none against Argentina, Nigeria and Bulgaria.
