HASIALIS VAIOS/EUROKINISSI

A youngster is held back by police yesterday when tens of thousands of people went to pay their last respects to Archbishop Christodoulos, who died on Monday. Many roads in central Athens will be closed as of 7 a.m. today as the archbishop’s body will be driven through the city before the burial ceremony that will take place at the First Cemetery. Public services and schools will be shut today but hospitals will operate as normal.
