A firefighting plane drops water on a blaze that broke out yesterday in Mandra, west of Athens. Thirty firefighters along with 10 fire trucks, two planes and a helicopter managed to control the fire before it reached nearby homes. The fire scorched two wooden storerooms and about 5 hectares of land, authorities said.
