Romania inflicts volleyball losses

The depleted national volleyball team suffered two losses in Romania over the weekend to bid goodbye to its hopes of reaching the Final Four of the European League.

Greece lost both games 3-2 at Constanta, the first on Saturday (29-27, 20-25, 18-25, 25-21, 15-9) and the second yesterday (18-25, 25-21, 24-26, 26-24, 19-17).

Due to the late injury of Dimitris Djuric, the national team consisted of just 11 players. Greece deserved to win at least one of the two matches but the home advantage clearly made a difference for the hosts.
