Club boss and faction continue war of words

An exchange of hostile remarks between Panathinaikos soccer boss Yiannis Vardinoyiannis and the Panathinaikos Unifying Movement (PEK), a group of entrepreneurs dissatisfied with the administration, continued yesterday with a PEK statement saying the club’s ownership lived in “virtual reality, far from the principles, tradition and wishes of Panathinaikos fans.” A day earlier, Vardinoyiannis spoke of an “artificial crisis,” adding that “Panathinaikos is top, whether some people like it or not.”
