Bulgarians jump into icy water to retrieve the holy cross at a lake in the Bulgarian capital of Sofia, on Epiphany, yesterday. The Eastern Orthodox priests throw a cross into the water and young men dive to find it. It is believed that those who dive into the river will be healthy throughout the year.
