Staff stand outside an auxiliary building of the Cantacuzino Institute, the manufacturer of Cantgrip, a Romanian-made swine flu vaccine, in Bucharest, yesterday. Romanian authorities began a mass vaccination program against swine flu yesterday, as the country reported its second death as a consequence of the disease, the Health Ministry said, according to Agence France-Presse. The first 250,000 vaccines, manufactured by the Cantacuzino Institute, have been sent to the regions where most of the 2,250 reported cases have been registered. ‘Among the first people to be vaccinated will be medical staff, personnel in charge of security, as well as students and other people with health risks,’ the ministry said. The vaccines will not be available in drugstores.
