German Chancellor Gerhard Schoeder...

German Chancellor Gerhard Schoeder and Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan (r) smile after their bilateral meeting at the ‘Royal Castle’ of Warsaw, the venue for the Council of Europe Heads of State and Government Summit of 46 European democratic member states yesterday. Erdogan said that his country rejects outsiders’ ‘lobbying efforts’ regarding last century’s mass killing of Armenians by Ottoman Turks. ‘We say that we do not appreciate any lobbying efforts that do not find their basis in documents... By taking action in other parliaments, this will not have positive effects on the issue,’ Erdogan added.
