Some 45,000 OAEE pensioners have still not registered
Pensioners insured with OAEE, the fund for the self-employed, who fail to register with the organization by Friday will not receive their February installment, the government warned on Wednesday.
In a statement on Wednesday, Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis said that about 45,000 OAEE pensioners, out of a total 350,000, have not yet produced the necessary documents – i.e. a tax identification (AFM) and social security number (AMKA).
“There is no room for excuses as [the government had already granted] a two-month extension” to the deadline, Vroutsis said.
