Police seeks identity of woman injured in Thessaloniki hit-and-run

Police on Tuesday appealed to the public for help in identifying a woman who was hit by a motorcycle and left suffering serious injuries in Thessaloniki in August.

The accident occurred on the junction of Megalou Alexandrou and Markou Botsari streets in the center of the northern port city at 9.30 p.m. on the night of August 28. The woman, whom authorities have not been able to identify, was hit by a motorcycle, which sped away from the scene.

Investigating officers believe she is aged between 65-70 years old. She is of regular build, 1.60 meters tall and has naturally brown hair dyed blond.

Anyone with information regarding her identify is asked to call their local police precinct or the national 100 emergency number.

The woman is being treated for multiple injuries in the intensive care unit of Ippocrateio Hospital. Her condition has prevented authorities from publishing her photograph.
