New group claims attack on PASOK HQ in Athens

A new group calling itself the Organization for Revolutionary Self-Defense claimed responsibility on the Indymedia website on Thursday for firing shots at PASOK’s headquarters in central Athens, a few hours before polling stations opened for the European and local elections on May 25.

The group said it carried out the bloodless attack primarily to oppose the government’s plans to build high-security prisons.
