Son of ex cabinet secretary Baltakos turns self in to coast guard H/Q

Dimitris Baltakos, son of former cabinet secretary Panayiotis Baltakos, who was being sought by police over charges of assaulting three Golden Dawn deputies in Parliament on Wednesday, turned himself over on Friday to the headquarters of Greece's Coast Guard in Piraeus, Skai reported.

A Greek Coast Guard officer, Dimitris Baltakos allegedly assaulted the ultranationalist MPs outside his father's office in Parliament soon after the release of the controversial footage showing his father in a discussion with GD spokesman Ilias Kasidiaris.

Authorities have ordered an internal investigation into the behavior of the younger Baltakos. His father is to testify on Monday before a prosecutor probing the origins of the video.
