Independent Greeks MP claims coalition trying to prevent her from revealing information on PPC

Outspoken Independent Greeks MP Rachil Makri claimed Friday that the coalition is trying to have her barred from Parliament so she cannot reveal information about scandals involving the Public Power Corporation (PPC) when a bill allowing the company to be privatized is discussed in the House.

I will provide documents proving the crimes against the Greek people, which require further investigation by the judiciary, which has to examine whether there are political responsibilities, said Makri as she revealed that New Democracy and PASOK had asked Parliament Speaker Evangelos Meimarakis for her to be penalized for her behavior during a row with conservative deputy Foteini Pipili.
