ND, SYRIZA exchange words over November 17 hit man autobiography

SYRIZA on Wednesday denied accusations from New Democracy that one of its members had written the introduction to the autobiography of November 17 hit man Dimitris Koufodinas.

The book, titled “Born November 17,” was published on Tuesday.

Less than 24 hours later, New Democracy claimed that Nikos Yiannopoulos, who wrote the foreword to the book, was a SYRIZA member and had founded one of the party’s former factions, Rosa.

The leftist party issued a statement insisting that Yiannopoulos had “never” been a SYRIZA member.

“Where do you want to take this country?” responded SYRIZA MP Panayiotis Lafazanis in Parliament. “You are basically accusing the opposition party of being terrorists. Is this the kind of state you want?”
