Sultry Mediterranean beauty Tonia Sotiropoulou has become the first Greek Bond girl after being parachuted into the cast of «Skyfall,» where she will appear in a brief sequence as the latest conquest of super-spy 007.
Sotiropoulou joins a long list of beautiful actresses and models who have coveted a role on the arm of cinema's most iconic bachelor, saying on her Facebook page on Thursday: «Dear friends I officially announce I got a part in J. Bond new film!!! Turkey here I come!"
Sotiropoulou will be joining the cast a crew of the 23rd Bond outing -- directed Sam Mendes and starring Daniel Craig -- for a five-day shoot of the opening scene in Istanbul on April 22.
According to reports the Greek model-turned-actress came to the attention of producers when she auditioned for the lead role of Severine, which she lost out to France's Berenice Marlohe.
"Skyfall» is due for release in November, and also stars Ralph Fiennes, Javier Bardem, Judi Dench and Naomie Harris.
