Fallen trees stop ISAP train, block coastal avenue
A tree felled by strong winds and heavy downpours in the Greek capital on Thursday has interrupted services on the ISAP electrical railway.
The tree fell onto the ISAP track between the neighborhoods of Tavros and Kallithea, stopping service along that stretch.
The train will run from Kifissia to Thisseio and from Piraeus to Tavros until the tree is removed and the tracks checked for any possible damage.
Meanwhile, two trees also fell on Poseidonos Avenue on the southern coast of Athens, closing one lane to traffic in the direction of Glyfada near Kallithea.
