Samaras stresses need to support young entrepreneurs
Prime Minister Antonis Samaras stressed on Friday that the key goal of his government was to boost growth and create much-needed jobs, especially for young people, ahead of talks with a group of around 20 new entrepreneurs.
It is the duty of the state to forge a «social contract with young entrepreneurs,» Samaras said, noting that young Greeks had the potential to bring innovation and competitiveness to the Greek economy.
"There is no shortage of people with ideas, what they could do without is a barrier when dealing with the state,» the premier said, adding that new businesses needed funding and less red tape if they were to succeed.
Samaras looked toward the creation of a «business culture» in Greece. «Only when this happens will young entrepreneurs be able to take the risk and create the added value that will refire the Greek economy,» he said.
