Patra police on alert after soccer fan club attack

Police in the western port city of Patra on Thursday increased patrols near popular soccer fan hangouts after a local Olympiakos fan club was attacked late on Wednesday night.

According to reports, four men riding two motorcycles hurled a homemade explosive device into the club, located on the ground floor of an apartment building.

No injuries were reported.
