Patra parents demand probe into schoolyard beating of daughter

The parents of a 14-year-old girl in the western port city of Patra have requested an investigation into claims by the teenager that she was brutally beaten by two fellow pupils in the yard of her school.

According to local reports, the teenager returned home on Monday in the middle of the school day with blood on her hands and legs, and complaining of pain in her kidneys.

She said that she had been assaulted by two other pupils during recess and beaten repeatedly.

There were no adult supervisors in the yard at the time, according to the report.
