Former Interior Minister and current New Democracy MP was barracked by angry workers at state-run mining firm Larco as they protested outside Parliament on Tuesday.
Pavlopoulos was sworn at and had water thrown at him as he made his way to his car.
Employees at Larco, which is facing privatization, had been protesting in central Athens earlier. The firmís staff oppose the companyís sale.
Larco is one of three companies, along with Hellenic Defense Systems (EAS) and the Hellenic Vehicle Industry (ELVO) that the troika is pushing Athens to either liquidate or sell as they produce combined losses of 150 million euros per year.
The troika rejected the governmentís plans to liquidate ELVO and EAS while they are still in operation. The coalition is due to submit a new plan this week.
