GSEE, ADEDY discuss new general strike

Greece’s two largest public and private sector unions, GSEE and ADEDY, were examining the possibility of a new general strike on October 18 on Wendesday morning.

According to reports, the date was chosen as it coincided with an European Union summit meeting, while more industrial action was expected to take place on the day the new austerity package reaches Parliament.

An announcement was expected later on Wedneday.
