Greek police data released Wednesday show a drop in crime for 2012.
Police said the number of robberies across the country last year fell to 5,992 from 6,636 in 2011.
Meanwhile, there were 9,013 fewer break-ins in 2012 as the total number dropped from 96,925 in 2011 to 87,912 last year.
However, the data did show a hike in home burglaries as the number rose from 912 in 2011 to 1,191 in 2012. Police said 28,193 home break-ins were reported last year compared to 27,591 in 2011.
