Four passengers died and another 30 were injured after a coach carrying 51 Russian tourists overturned in Kardia, Nea Moudania, northern Greece, at 4.30 a.m. on Friday.
According to early reports the accident was due to slippery road conditions following rainfall in the area. The tourist bus was heading to Thessaloniki’s Makedonia Airport.
Injured passengers were transported to the AXEPA hospital in Thessaloniki while the driver, reportedly in a state of shock, was unable to account for the accident, according to sources.
Among the dead was a 36-year-old man who died of his injuries after helping a mother and her child get out of the bus after the accident.
