After France, Venizelos to visit US

Following an official visit to France, Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Evangelos Venizelos heads to the United States for a two-day official visit on Thursday and Friday.

Venizelos is scheduled to meet with US Secretary of State John Kerry in Washington on Thursday and with US Treasury secretary Jack Lew on the following day.

The foreign minister's agenda also includes meetings with Robert Menendez, head of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and Ed Royce, chairman of the US House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He is also scheduled to meet with members of US think tanks as well as representatives of Greek diaspora organizations.
