Andreas Loverdos, who last month left PASOK to found his RIKKSY political movement, on Wednesday said the new party will be officially launched six months from now.
During a presentation Wednesday of RIKKSY’s platform, which centered around proposals to bolster growth and fight red tape, the former health minister rejected speculation that the new party will simply be a new version of the Socialist party, “PASOK 2,” as he put it.
The former Socialist heavyweight also said he would turn down any proposal to become a minister in the event of government reshuffle.
Labor Minister Yiannis Vroutsis announced on Thursday a new government initiative, to apply from January 2014, that will offer 75,000 new jobs for young people.
