Father accused of killing son

A 75-year-old man has been arrested by police and charged with the murder of his 39-year-old son after the latter’s burnt body was discovered on Friday in the back seat of a car in the town of Astros in the eastern Peloponnese.

Another four people – the victim’s mother, uncle, aunt as well as his sister’s husband – have also been arrested in connection to the case and charged with acting as accomplices to the murder.

According to police reports, the suspect shot the victim three times following a family dispute before allegedly transporting his dead body with the aid of the other four suspects in the victim’s car to an area next to a landfill where they set fire to it.
