Over half of tax offices to close as part of state restructuring
A total of 127 tax offices which are due to be abolished as part of the government’s ongoing austerity drive concluded their transactions with the public on Friday ahead of their closure on Monday, the Finance Ministry said.
The 127 tax offices are to be replaced with 99 Taxpayers’ Service Centers by the end of the year -- while the remaining 114 tax offices will continue to operate, bolstered by some of the staff from the abolished units.
