Two police officers were released from custody on Friday after being questioned by a magistrate in Thessaloniki in connection to a drug smuggling and dealing ring uncovered earlier this month.
Four policemen have already been remanded in pretrial custody but the judge decided that the two officers questioned on Friday should not be held.
Both law enforcement personnel insist they were acting in the line of duty.
A lawyer who is also implicated in the ring was also released after questioning.
A seventh policeman is due to appear before the magistrate in the coming days.
