City of Athens puts out fresh drinking water for strays

The City of Athens on Wednesday said that it has installed 35 drinking points around the capital where stray cats and dogs can get fresh drinking water, in an effort to ensure that they are not at risk from high temperatures.

The scheme is run in cooperation with animal protection groups, with the municipal service saying that Athens residents who see the need for additional drinking points can call 210.323.9201 or 210.323.9202.
