Citizen action in Corinthia leads to night patrols
A citizens movement in the town of Zevgolatio, in Corinthia in the Peloponnese, has teamed up with local authorities to organize neighborhood watch patrols in view of safeguarding homes and stores.
According to the Municipality of Velo-Vocha, the initiative was developed following a rise in crime in the area.
The neighborhood watch groups will reportedly conduct patrols in Zevgolatio from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
