Clinton voices support for Greece during FM's Washington visit
US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton expressed support for Greece during talks in New York on Wednesday, Foreign Minister Dimitris Avramopoulos told reporters.
Avramopoulos described his talks with Clinton as “substantive, honest and cordial” while the latter emphasized that relations between Athens and Washington were “excellent.”
He is scheduled to address the United Nations General Assembly during his visit and to meet with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon as well as Matthew Nimetz, the organization’s mediator in Greece’s name dispute with the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
