Minister urges pharmaceutical firms to keep supplying Greek market
Health Minister Andreas Lykourentzos has called on pharmaceutical companies to stop withdrawing medicines from the Greek market.
Speaking on Skai radio on Monday, Lykourentzos admitted that a ban on exports of some medicines had been imposed because shortages were being created as pharmaceutical companies sought more lucrative prices for their drugs in other countries.
Lykourentzos also said that the National Organization for Healthcare Provision (EOPYY) currently had debts of 1.7 billion euros but that this is being paid off gradually.
