Right-wing politicians unite to form new movement, Greeks’ Initiative

A total of 21 former and serving right-wing politicians have come together to form a new political movement called Greeks’ Initiative, it was announced on Tuesday.

The founding members include former Independent Greeks lawmaker Christos Zois (photo), ex-Popular Orthodox Rally (LAOS) deputy Kyriakos Velopoulos and former New Democracy MP Nikos Stavroyiannis. The grouping has been registered as a political movement but it is thought it could evolve into a party.
