European Commission candidates to meet in second live debate on Tuesday

Four candidates in the race for the presidency of the European Commission are participating in a debate at the European Parliament in Brussels and organized by Euranet Plus on Tuesday.

A live streaming of The Big Crunch Debate 2014 will take place on www.skai.gr at 3.30 p.m. local time. The debate will take place in English.

The event marks the second time Jean-Claude Juncker (European People’s Party), Ska Keller (European Green Party), Martin Schulz (Party of European Socialists) and Guy Verhofstadt (Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe) will discuss some of the key issues marking the upcoming European Parliament May elections, following a televised debate on Monday night.

SYRIZA chief, Alexis Tsipras, the European Left's candidate for the European Commission's top job was not expected to take part in Tuesday's live debate.

The Euranet Plus network comprises 21 European radio stations from 20 EU countries and 10 European universities campus radios.
