Albanian shot

An Albanian suspected of a knife attack on another two Albanians a fortnight ago was shot dead during a police raid yesterday on an Athens coffee shop. The man, identified as Sedak Selniku, 20, died immediately after being shot in the head by officer Ioannis Rizopoulos – who claimed the victim pulled a knife on him. Rizopoulos, accompanied by another three officers, raided the coffee shop at 10 Lefkosias Street near Amerikis Square acting on information that Selniku had knifed two men in the area on November 9. He was arrested, as were the four Albanians Selniku was sitting with.
