Municipal workers have said that they will not work over the weekend, meaning that there will be no trash collection on Saturday and Sunday, their union, POE-OTA, said on Tuesday.
The union called on «all social bodies and citizens to come together in the fight to overturn the measures of degradation being drawn up by the coalition government and the troika."
It said that it will be meeting again on Monday to discuss further action, which may include blockades of municipal and regional authorities, garbage dumps and garbage truck depots in order to prevent the collection of trash.
