State-of-the-art PPC plant to be constructed in Ptolemaida
The Public Power Corporation (PPC) is expected to sign a contract with regard to the construction of a new electricity power station which will use lignite as fuel, AMNA reported on Wednesday. The agreement is scheduled to be signed in Ptolemaida, northern Greece, on March 9.
The project comes with a 1.4 billion euro budget and is billed as one of the greatest energy investments ever made in Greece.
Using state-of-the-art technology, the new power plant will be environmentally-friendly and comply with the strictest requirements of European and Greek legislation. The project is expected to lead to the creation of hundreds of new jobs.
