The local bourse’s main index switched from green to red 15 times on Thursday before ending up with a fourth day of gains on rumors that Fitch is set to upgrade Greece’s credit rating.
The Athens Exchange general index closed at 1,042.16 points, up 0.67 percent from Wednesday’s 1,035.19 points. The large-cap FTSE/ATHEX-25 index grew by 0.63 percent, ending at 351.46 points.
Frigoglass and Viohalco outperformed, adding 5.75 percent and 5.32 percent respectively.
In total 76 stocks went up, 86 registered losses and 25 stayed unchanged.
Turnover amounted to 62.2 million euros, down from Wednesday’s 80.6 million.
