Greek GDP decreases 6.3 pct in 2Q

Greece's gross domestic product (GDP) decreased by 6.3 percent in the second quarter of 2012 against the same period last year, Elstat, the Greek national statistics agency, said Friday.

The figure was slightly higher than the original estimate of 6.2 percent.

According to Elstat, consumer spending fell by 7.2 percent while investments declined by 19.4 percent over the same period.
