Industrial output in June up 0.3 percent compared to 2011
Greece’s Production Index in Industry (IPI) in June 2012 recorded an increase of 0.3 percent compared with June 2011, according to figures published by the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT)
In June 2011, the annual rate of change of the IPI was –13.3 percent.
In the 6-month period from January 2012 to June 2012, the average rate of change of the IPI was –4.8 percent. In June 2011, the corresponding average rate of change of the IPI was –8.2 percent, said ELSTAT.
Compared to June 2011, mining and quarrying production increased by 18.9 percent, manufacturing production decreased by 4.3% percent, electricity production increased by 10.9 percent and water supply production increased by 3.9 percent.
