Investors asked to express interest in tobacco unit

Deloitte Business Solutions Hatzipavlou Sofianos & Kambanis SA invited investors to submit expressions of interest to buy a 50.4 percent stake in tobacco company SEKAP SA by September 17.

Following an evaluation of the expressions of interest, the chosen candidates will have the opportunity to visit SEKAP’s factory to carry out their own controls before submitting binding offers, according to the invitation, which was published by Deloitte as adviser on the sale in To Vima newspaper.

Agricultural Bank of Greece SA (ATEbank) owned the stake in SEKAP before Piraeus Bank SA bought the lender for 95 million euros on July 27 as part of a restructuring of Greece’s lenders. [Bloomberg]
