High turnover, small losses for bourse’s main index
After climbing for four sessions in a row and remaining in positive territory during early trade on Thursday, the benchmark index of the Athens stock market ended the day lower due to the poor performance of mid-caps.

Bank of Cyprus led the blue chips with a rise of 4.12 percent and its third-biggest turnover ever, while Titan cement added 4 percent. Marfin Investment Group declined by 3.48 percent.
In total, 81 stocks posted gains, 60 registered losses and 29 remained unchanged.
