Nearly 2.3 mln cruise passengers sailed Greek seas

Passenger traffic at the four main cruise ports in Greece was very satisfactory last year, data from the Technical Committee for Cruise Tourism of the Port Association of Greece showed.

A total of 2,295,711 passengers cruised the Greek seas in 2012, including 440,098 who embarked and disembarked at the same port (home porting).

Almost three-quarters of them (74 percent) used Piraeus as their home port, 15 percent chose Corfu, 11 percent opted for Iraklio and 2 percent for Lavrio.
