Greece, Germany sell 1.4 mln EU carbon permits

Germany and Greece sold a total of 1.4 million European Union carbon permits in separate auctions on Wednesday.

Germany sold 850,000 permits for December at 7.72 euros a metric ton on the European Energy Exchange AG, according to data from the exchange’s website.

Greece sold 500,000 spot permits at 7.69 euros a ton on the Athens Exchange. [Bloomberg]
