Samsung exec to visit Athens, possible expansion suggested

Yoon Boo-Keun, co-chief executive officer at Samsung Electronics, is due to visit Athens on Thursday, Skai reported on Tuesday, saying that the high-ranking executive will be meeting with the Seoul-based company's representatives in Greece.

Skai said that sources have suggested he will be discussing the possibility of Samsung expanding its presence in the Greek market and that the electronics giant may be considering Greece as a distribution hub for its products to European markets, Skai said.

Samsung Electronics posted revenues of some 155 billion euros in 2013, according to Skai.
