There are plenty of encouraging messages coming from the European Union and they are pretty clear regarding the general feeling about Greece’s future in the euro area. For example, German officials have come out for the first time and said that Berlin wants Greece to remain in the eurozone, on the condition, of course, that it sees through the austerity measures and structural reforms that it has agreed to, even if it is delayed in meeting some of its committments.

Meanwhile, the dynamic intervention of the European Central Bank shows that Europe finally has a plan for dealing with the sovereign debt crisis.

Of course, the Greek people are being asked to hurt once more, but at least there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel for the very first time.

Greece is no longer alone and no longer seen as an outsider of Europe. After all, the country deserves a more positive outlook and some support, because the adjustments and efforts already made by the people cannot and should not be dismissed.
