Hypocrisy over taxes

Hard-working Greeks who are productive members of society and do not dodge their responsibilities are being over-taxed. No one can deny this, but there is a problem when certain deputies and others start rebelling against over-taxation.

Those who want to put a stop to excessive taxation should be honest with Greek citizens and defend cost-cutting efforts, especially when they concern waste, graft and mismanagement in the public sector.

Unfortunately, you canít have it both ways.

You canít have those who overcharged the public sector in the first place, through personal favors and useless institutions set up for the sole purpose of accommodating their cronies and offering permanency to contract workers, complaining today about the taxes that we all have to pay.

So we either continue with unjust and disastrous over-taxation, which will harm everyone, or we reduce the wasteful and corrupt state even further, which will only harm a few.
