Private sector employees and those in the public sector who work hard and do their jobs well continue to face a double injustice, as downsizing the state by closing down defunct services and organizations remains taboo for our politicians.

How do doctors at public hospitals and other hard-working civil servants feel when their salaries are slashed, while useless and wasteful parts of the public sector remain untouched?

In today’s crisis-stricken Greece, it is imperative for taxpayers to know that not a single euro stemming from the various new taxes is going to those in unnecessary positions or to unproductive employees in the civil service. Greeks making every possible effort to make ends meet will no longer tolerate this.
