Summer school in Greece, in English

In collaboration with the Free Studies Workshop Program of the Hellenic American Educational Foundation (Athens College and Psychico College), the HAEF Informatics Center is offering a two-week summer school program in English for youngsters aged 13-17, which is set to run from June 25 to July 6.

The program is addressed to teens interested in the areas of technology, science, modern design, entrepreneurship, quality of life, environment, arts and sports. Its mission is to develop skills preparing young people for tomorrow’s careers, with the guidance of industry professionals and scientists invited from top US and European universities.

Students will be exposed to technological advances and artistic trends, and will be taught how to cultivate teamwork, initiative taking and innovation. By the end of the program the students will have participated in three to four subjects and will present a project. In parallel they will be introduced to the basics of project management, and effective communication combined with team sports and entertainment activities on the Palaio Psychico campus in northern Athens.

During this program, four scholarships will be offered to needy and deserving students from public schools who are strongly attracted to technology and the subject areas of the summer school.

Registration is under way, on a strictly first-come, first-served basis due to limited availability.

For further information, log on to http://summerschool.haef.gr, call 210.679.8192 (9 a.m. - 4 p.m.), or e-mail summerschool@haef.gr.
