A week of highlights of the Berlin Film Festival (Berlinale) will kick off in Athens tomorrow and will run to May 11. The event, which is running for a second year in the Greek capital, will screen 50 films from all different sections of the Berlinale at the Ideal, Astron and the Microcosmos cinemas, three tributes (Stars of the 50s, Contemporary German Cinema and the Teddy Awards) and other events. The public can get information from the Bacaro Arts Complex, which serves as a meeting point.

Ethnic Jazz Jam

Valia Alexandratou's Analysis Dance Company will present the choreographies "Variation ND" and "ShowTime" at the National Opera's Acropol Theater. "Variation ND" features music by Shostakovich, Prokofiev, Steve Reich and others, while "ShowTime" is inspired by Shakespeare's play "Twelfth Night."

The Atropos company is presenting the physical theater performance "Akosmos" at the Argo Theater until May 29.
